Left and right the terrorists fell. They were simple village folk who had no real combat training, they were horribly unequipped to deal with two trained killers, especially of Marek and Raikov’s caliber. The robo guard in the distance was a large, freakish looking creature. Made to resemble a spider, the robotic menace was one of the earlier models, meaning the two Turks had a good chance of defeating it. It was large, with its head hovering roughly 15 feet from the ground. As Marek and Raikov entered its vicinity the large eye-like orb fixed in the center of its head began to glow and cast a dull red light upon the two Turks. It’s aiming…this could be bad As soon as the word was given, Marek detonated the explosives taking cover at the side of the road. The robo guard’s front leg flew apart into bits and pieces of scrap metal. Its aim had been throw off, but the creature wasn’t down for the count just yet. Rising, Marek moved to the center of the street to square off with the machine. Once again the large eye was fixed upon Marek, who now stood alone in the middle of the street. Rolling his neck, Marek took a deep breath and raised his gun. Advancing forward at a walk, Marek unloaded the remainder of his clip at the machine’s head. The large metal construct bobbed and twitched every time a bullet hit it, but it did not back down. A large crack now ran along the reflective surface of the eye, the aiming system had been damaged. Shoving the 9mm in its holster, Marek quickly produced his rod with a swing of his arm. The large robo guard began to move forward, its metallic legs thudding against the street noisily. It was preparing to attack. “Raikov,” Marek called to the fellow Turk. “I think I pissed it off.” Cue Fight Music: Still More Fighting

Raikov found himself in the illumination of the RoboGuard, eyes narrowed slightly as he began ducking out of the way. Then he heard the collision of metal on metal, as the four wheeler collided with the huge robot, and the explosion was set off.
The fuel within the tank caused an even greater inferno as part of it's legs began falling away, and Raikov dashed forward, shotgun in hand, stopping beside his comrade.
The shotgun was held in one hand, with the barrel pointed down, Raikov acting completly relaxed in the confusion of the blast. He looked over at Raikov, readjusting his glasses on his nose and nodding, as the enemy began preparing for another onslaught. They were fools, they would die.
"Marek, take care of the human threat, I'll take the robot. I can at least get it out of their control.".
Without another word he moved forward, bringing the shot gun up and blasting a man in the chest, sending him falling back in a pile of blood and gore. All manner of scaffolding and ladders surrounded the metallic beast, and Raikov deftly scale them like a trained gymnast, till he reached the platform that held the control panel for the beast.
He opened it and began studying the various colored wires running all over the place. Temprature sensor wires, control wires for it's various weapons and tracking applications, and the power wires that ran to it's battery.
He had no way of cutting into the power cables without getting himself blown to hell, so instead he took out his trusted knife with the built in side cutting blades, and snipped the control wires that allowed it be programmed or controlled by man.
He then launched himself off before it went out of control, rolling on the ground and standing to brush himself off, grinning.
"Now...it's pissed.".

The terrorists had planned a secondary attack in the event that the robo guard failed, but the exploding ATV hadn’t been a part of their plans. The secondary wave had been launched and was on route to the robo guard’s location.
Looking up towards the large metallic spider then back at Raikov, Marek gave a shrug and moved to the side to deal with the approaching terrorists. Not all of his foes were armed with guns, some carried blades others clubs.
Marek made quick work of the close combatants. While his right hand swiftly moved left and right snapping necks and cracking heads with his rod, his left hand grabbed and punched whenever his momentum willed it so. It was carnage, pure and simple.
Now all that remained were his long ranged foes. Rushing to meet them, Marek evaded the bullets by somersaulting, or dodging in either direction. Approaching one of the gunmen, Marek swatted the gun out of his hands with the rod before grasping hold of his face with his large left had.
His fingertips clamped down on the man’s face, digging into his flesh. The terrorist gave a cry of pain as Marek lifted him up, using him as a human shield against the other terrorists. Hurling the body in their direction, Marek rushed after it to commit more carnage.
By the time, Marek had dispatched the few soldiers who had been eager enough to rush ahead of the wave, Raikov had made his way back to the center of the road. Now it’s pissed.”
“Ah…evasive maneuvers?” He suggested with a questioning glance.

He watched as the second wave approached, shaking his head some as Marek glanced over at him. He thought only for a split moment as the massive spider turned on it's legs to face the oncoming group, no longer recognizing friendly or foe.
"Hmm...evasive manuevers...are a good idea".
WIth that, he launched forward grabbing Marek and spinning him, throwing both of them behind a huge brick wall that was halfway built, tall enough to cover the two of em.
"Potshots are probably going to be a good idea, help that big bastard take some of them out, while hopefully they do the same thing. Unfortuneately, they can't shut it off with their remotes now, but it's better then it focusing solely on us.".
With that, he cocked the shotgun again and peeked around, just in time to see one coming at him and Marek, finger depressing the trigger and releasing the shell to catch the guy in the face, killing him instantly.
Then Raikov turned back to look at Marek.
"Any ideas?".

Taking cover with Raikov, Marek let the one with the gun handle the ones that managed to get by the robo guard. The large robotic spider no longer had its left front leg. Propping itself up on its hind legs, the spider struck out with its remaining front leg cutting through the terrorists. On occasion a small port would open beneath its eye and fire a condensed beam of energy at the villagers.
Straightening his tie, Marek pushed the rod together and slipped it away into its proper place on his person.
Any ideas?
Reaching over to the dead terrorist, Marek dragged the faceless man over ot himself and Raikov.
“The control panel?” he asked. “It’s on top, right?”
Marek emptied all of the terrorist’s pockets before digging into the man’s vest. Shoved in a side pocket was a grenade. Holding it out up for Raikov to see, Marek smirked noting the ShinRa logo on the pin.
“I’ll cover you,” he said grabbing the shot gun.

He peeked around the corner again, watching as the robot massacred it's former owners. He shook his head as Marek as he rummaged through the corpses pockets, withdrawing a grenade and smirking.
He then took the grenade and fingered it, sighing softly as he nodded.
"Fine, give me the easy part.".
He smirked as he stood and got ready to rush forward, right in between some of the terrorists. His katana withdrawn from it's scabbard, he easily sliced them to ribbons, as he then once again mounted scaffolding after scaffolding, finally getting at the angle he needed. He replaced his katana in it's rightful place and prepared himself.
Which swift action, he pushed off the edge and soared through the air, landing on the control platform, having to now brace himself as the thing moved erratically. He primed the grenade and tossed it into the wireway, then turned and leapt off as fast as he could, landing on the ground in a tuck and roll, coming to his feet.
He reached up to straight his tie and brush his shoulders off, as the explosions behind him began, all the major circuitry catching afire and the whole spider rumbling as it fell to the ground, completly destroyed.
He looked at the remaining terrorists and smirked, as they dropped their weapons and ran. There was no way they were going to mess with these two crazy f**kers, no way in hell.

Following Raikov out from behind the brick wall, Marek raised the shotgun covering his comrade. Ever mindful of the unstable machine in the vicinity, Marek watched as the creature tore into the terrorists. Had the city itself not been at risk he would have been more than content to let the big bad robo spider rage on. However, considering that the whole point of ATIC was to keep the terrorists at bay in order to complete the construction of the city, Marek felt that eliminating the machine before it could cause any damage to the city was the best course of action.
Once Raikov had finished atop the spider, the machine exploded in a myriad of sparks and flames. Metal scraps flew through the air and Marek took cover behind the tall half complete brick wall.
The tall, broad shouldered Turk watched as the terrorist began to flee. Handing the shotgun to Raikov, Marek reached into his pocket and removed his PHS.
“I’ll report in to Gelt.” He said holding the PHS up to his ear. “They’ll probably want to send a cleanup crew out here.”
After giving a brief report over the phone with Gelt, Marek nodded. “Yup, cleanup is on the way. Let’s finish this d**ned patrol, then get the hell out of here.”
