The building certainly looked official, rising several stories in the sky disappearing into the clouds.
To normal civilians the Mutant Research Center was nothing more than another government building but to the mutants in New York City, New York the MRC was regarded as a forboding place. The experiments they performed on some of the mutants was unspeakable, or so Vice had told them, and the way the prisoners were treated was horrific. The stories Vice had told the people had been enough to make them all wary of the MRC.
It was 8:00 pm and Hector Weiss was slipping through the MRC as if he's been there his entire life. His telekenetic abilities allowed him to mask his prescence from others and made it possible for him to move as freely as he liked.
Walking up to several guards Weiss simply asked to be let through and after a simple telekenetic probe was admitted wherever he liked. The type of equipment required to protect someone from his psychic powers was extraordinarily rare and extremely hard to find.
His dark blonde hair poked out from the top of his black hooded trench coat falling across his right eye. Stepping into a large elevator Weiss entered the access code and smirked when access was denied. It seemed they had anticipated his coming to retrieve Isabella. By having an access code that changed with each use it made it very difficult for the young psion to learn the code. If he expanded his mental probe wide enough he was sure he could find the man that knew the way around it but in all honesty Weiss had grown bored with playing nice.
When the young man had entered the facility he had intended to slip in, get isabella and get out. However, after having walked the halls the young psion found himself having difficulty reigning in his anger. Perhaps it was time for him to show these bastards what they were really dealing with, to let them see how much he had grown since his days of captivity.
Holding an arm out in front of his body Weiss raised his hand and forced the elevator to move upward, using telekenisis to move the large elevator. Smoke began to pour from the cables that tried to resist his actions and once Weiss had reached the floor he was looking for he blew the door off the hinges with a strong psionic blast, sending the large metal doors towards the guards that waited in front of the single cell that held his most prized subordinate.
The large hunks of metal had been twisted and smoked from the heat of his blast. They had sufficiently crushed and killed the guards. Weiss smirked as another guard came form the side towards him, with one sharp thought Vice turned the man's brain into pulp causing him to fall to his knees in a dumbfounded stare before dying. Men all around him began to fall left and right, some clutching their skulls, other's finding their bodies being torn apart by his telekenetic force.
Stopping at the clear plexiglass wall Weiss placed a hand on the glass giving the girl inside a friendly smile. From the tips of his fingers the plexiglass began to crack. The cracks moved slowly at first before spreading all the way across the large surface, causing the glass to fall apart completely.
Smiling Weiss held out a hand. "Isabella...it's time to go." Vice said with a smirk.

The training simulation ended abruptly, even though the mission was far from over. A monitor came down from the ceiling, the stern face of Archer’s CO staring back at the two before finally speaking.
“Archer, Obsidian, there’s a situation at MRC. It’s an attempted escape by a telekinetic mutant, who’s trying to get a mutant by the name of Isabella from her confinement. Stop this from happening, at all costs, we can’t afford for this pair to cause anymore trouble then they already have.”.
Archer saluted and spun on his heel as the monitor retracted back to the ceiling.
“Obsidian, everyone else is out on a mission already, it’s going to have to be us two for right now. We’ll use the teleportation pods to make it there quicker, and save our energy for what’s going to be a difficult battle.”.
With that he strode out of the training room, down the hall into the teleportation pod room. He put the destination into both of the pods, stepping into his and fading from view as he headed on his way to the center, knowing Obsidian wouldn’t be very far behind. He arrived outside of the complex, walking up to the door and kicking it in swiftly, looking at the bay of monitors in the sentry post, seeing the carnage the man had created.
“That bastard, he needs to be stopped, right now.”.
He rushed down the corridors swiftly, knowing he was near the guy as he finished the last flight of stairs before the holding cells. Obsidian could phase through the floor and come down the level they needed to be at, but there wasn’t any time to waste.
“Halt. You’re under arrest for assault, unregistered use of mutant powers, destruction of federal property, and aiding an escaped prisoner. How do you plead?”.
Archer’s muscles were as tense as iron cables, and he was ready to have a fight on his hands. This guy didn’t look like he was just going to submit, and his telekinetic abilities were going to prove a difficult adversary.

Obsidian tensed at the abrupt change of scenery, before realizing that it was only the simulation ending. This did nothing to ease her tension, because training sims were only interrupted when something important or bad was happening. More often and not, it was both.
Her suspicions were proven correct when her CO's CO entered the scene (via moniter, but it still counted). Uneasiness soon coupled with her tension as she listened to the status of the situation, turning immediately to Archer to await his commands.
The one thing about Archer that still managed to throw her off was how focused he was on missions like this. He always gave commands in shortest, clearest terms; and left no room for questions. Obsidian was an agreeable sort of person, and most of the time her Leaders orders were sensible, and the best course of action (when he was wasn't doing something reckless like pulling a Lone Wolf Hero stunt, that is), though, she couldn't really complain.
Archer's assumptions weren't incorrect, as Obsidian was right on his heels as he made his way to the teleportation room.
At the sentry post, however, she didn't immediately follow him. Instead, at first, she carefully observed all the monitors to make sure that there was -just- the one man, and to figure out, exactly, which floor he was on. It did not take her too long, however, and she immediately did as her commanding officer expected and phased through the floors until she reached the correct one.
Soon enough she was at the scene of the confrontation, and (having come up a different way) standing on the other side of the apparant telepath.
And after hearing Archer's list of crimes the man had committed, she felt like adding in her own tidbit, because, as a woman ((OOC: I'm totally making fun of myself. XD )) she did like to talk.
"Yeah." She agreed, at once. "And, we've got you as surrounded as you're gonna get in a hallway. You'd be better off just answering his question, and quietly following us to your punishment." She finished, putting a hand on her hip, casually, though she was just as prepared for a fight as Archer was.

Bamf. In a flash of white light, Blade’s cell was now unoccupied. The klaxons were going off on all floors, the emergency shut off system had opened all of the doors and cells so that all personnel and prisoners could escape. How foolish of them to be so sentimental, that they’d actually care about the lives of those who broke their laws willingly.
Another bamf, as air rushed out of the position of a bright, white flash, and Blade landed on the ground in a crouch. His grey prison jump suit was too loose on his body, and his long red hair was slicked back and rested on his shoulders. A grin formed across his face as he looked up into the eyes of woman, who was in the middle of addressing a man who seemed to be in a bad position.
He stood up, though he wasn’t very tall. The jump suit hid the fact that his body was lean and muscled, because it’s size made him look bulky. He looked at the man in the red coat with a smirk before looking back to the loud mouthed woman.
“Well…two on one don’t seem right to me. Looks like I’ll just have to even the odds here, eh?
He didn’t move just yet, he was waiting to see how things were going to play out, but it seemed that these two were here for a fight, and Blade would help give it to the both of them.

Weiss sighed and glanced from Archer to Obsidian. His eyes spoke volumes of what he thought of them. They were a mere annoyance, not even worth his time. Isabella was still in his psychic grasp and floating behind him without a care in the world.
The young psion raised an eyebrow as the teleported made his appearance. While Weiss certainly didn't need any help only a fool turned down a free weapon. "I appreciate the offer but these two aren't even a challenge for me..." With a small smirk Weiss sent out a psychic burst holding Archer and Obsidian in place as he calmy walked past them.
'However," Weiss said glancing at the new comer. A tiny psychic probe told him the man's name and powers. "...if you manage to take care of them by yourself I can certainly find a place for you in my army."
With a small smirk Weiss ripped a hole in the floor beneath him with a psychic blast. "Well, I'll leave you to it."
Weiss released them his psychic hold on Obsidian and Archer as he leapt down the hole taking Isabella with him. "Until we meet again!"

Archer’s eyes fell on Obsidian as she came onto the scene, putting in her own input. He stepped forward some, ready to get this over and done with, because the longer a scene went on, the more dangerous it was going to be for them. And just as he finished thinking that, the small flash of white appeared, and a new mutant was on the scene. And he didn’t seem to be too fond of either of them.
Great, now it was a teleporter and a psion they had to do with, this didn’t bode well. Then Archer’s muscles seemed to lock, he couldn’t move, he could still breath, but that was it.
‘d**n it! He’s got us in a hold.’.
Archer constantly struggled even as Weiss walked right by him, as casually as if he were going on a stroll through the park. And he was leaving the teleporter to ‘take care of him and Obsidian. He considered chasing after the bastard psion for a moment, then realized that leaving Obsidian in this dangerous situation might not be a good idea.
“Obsidian, be careful, he doesn’t look like the type to hold back.”.
With that, he dashed forward toward Blade. Pushing off of the ground, Archer leapt into the air and spun once, bringing his foot around with him to aim a kick to the side of Blade’s head, hoping to incapacitate him quickly. He was a blur of motion as he soared through the air, thinking his speed might be enough to catch the guy offguard.

The teleported grinned at the psion’s words, as the man walked out of the room. He then saw Archer flying toward him, but the man’s foot only caught thin air, actually almost grazing his partner’s face. But that should have been the least of the man’s concerns, as Blade rematerialized in the air above him, bring down his hands in a double sledge hammer blow that would knock the man on his face, allowing Blade another moment to vanish and ambush the two again.

Obsidian faltered, eyes widening as this newcomer appeared out of nowhere, her eyes following him as he stood up. In an instant, though, she was in a ready to fight position; her defenses put up when he spoke his first words. "Hey, what the hell?! Just who do you think you -" Obsidian froze, completely, though it was definately not by choice; the man they had originally come after had some sort of hold on them. What really irked was that he thought they weren't a challenge. Bad guys these days were -way- too cocky, in her opinion. When the psychic finally let them go as he made his escape, Obsidian was ready to beat the teleporter down. It was -his- fault their target had escaped, she believed. She didn't have much time to think more on this, though, as she was forced to dodge her higher-ups missed kick, moving to the side as she tried to figure out just where the hell this mutant was going to strike next. Snarling in quite the unlady like manner, the black-haired mutant woman ran at the teleporter while he was focused on Archer (though, she did hope her superior was okay, she also knew he could take care of himself), swinging her leg out to kick at him. Sure, while she wasn't an -expert- in fighting, she had to learn something while being in this team. Sometimes being covert didn't always work, afterall. ((OOC:...I fail at fight scenes. ^^; )

The black haired girl would connect with thin air. What was she thinking? Blade could teleport, that meant he could literally act like a ten man army against these two, especially in these confined spaces. Then there was that sound that by now should have been all too familiar to the duo.
Bamf.
But there was something different about this attack, it looked as if he’d shoved his foot through a wall. His right foot seemed to materialize out of thin air, crashing with the back of Archer’s skull and sending the man headfirst into a wall. Cracks spider webbed the wall from Archer’s contact, even as Blade spun around and brought his foot around, aiming it for the ribcage of the girl. She needed to shut up.

Archer felt his head collide with the wall, shattering it and causing dust and mortar to float through the air. He grunted as he put his hands on each side of the hole, pushing and bringing his head out. He growled as he shook his head, clearing out the cobwebs as he saw the teleported aim a kick for Obsidian.
“Obsidian, watch out!”.
Archer was fast, but he wasn’t going to be able to make it in time to deflect that kick, Obsidian had to learn to defend herself anyway, for fights like this. He started moving forward anyway, preparing to strike the man as soon as he reached him, reaching out with a hand to grab him by the back of the shirt.

Crap, being the foremost thought in Obsidian's head as her leader's head was used to exhibit a rather archaic sense of interior design and wallpapering. Really, cracked and spider-webbed wall?
She didn't call out for her leader to check on his status, mainly because she was still quite flabbergasted by the teleporters attack. Had he just teleported only a part of his body? What the hell? She didn't have any time to ponder over this new discovery, though. Unfortunately, it looked like she was going to have defend herself from what looked like it could be a very devastating kick.
This had better work, She thought to herself, tensing - it was definately not the time for her powers to fritz out on her. Thankfully, they seemed to agree. She felt herself lose solidity, right as the kick would have reached her. Her feet dropped through the floor and she fell - solidifying again when the mans foot was over her head and grabbing hold of it tightly.
"Hey, a**hole, don't you know it's not nice to hit a lady?!"
It was a faulty tactic, no doubt, and the most she really hoped to accomplish with it was to knock him off balance and allow for her leader's oncoming attack to be succesfull - sticking him in the floor was not an ability she actually posessed and even if she could have he would have teleported out of the situation.

Archer's hands stretched out, closing around the head of the teleporter with a massive amount of force. In a split second Archer was turning on his heel, bringing his fist up to smash into the guy's stomach, then sending him flying against a wall.
This teleporter was quick, but not so tough, his resistance wouldn't be hard to wear down at all, not for Archer. The main concern was the psion, but this other guy was just as dangerous.
