The world could not get anymore ridiculous, at least that was how Alexander Engle saw it. Dressed in blue and bronze robes, the young Ravenclaw stalked through the halls of Hogwarts, intent on finding one young man.
Alexander could not remember the last time he had been so angry at a single person. Light brown strands of hair fell across his eyes and Alexander reached up to part them over his right eye. The hazel orb looked about the halls searching for the young man. Several other Ravenclaws greeted him as they passed, but Alexander Sereptious would only give them the slightest of nods in recognition, he was on a mission.
Eventually he found the bloke he was looking for. The tall Slytherin was carrying an arm load of books in one hand and using his wand to carry several more. Grasping his wand, Alexander Sereptious hurried after the tall Slytherin.
"Oi, Riddle!" Hearing his name called the Slytherin Prefect and current Headboy turned to look at Alexander. It took a moment for recognition to sink in, but when it did the Slytherin gave a small, seemingly amused, smile. Although, his eyes seemed to sow a bit of annoyance at having been stopped in the middle of his errand.
"Hello, Alexander...I'd love to stay and chat, but as you can see I've a-"
"Don't play nice with me, you two faced prat!" Alexander said through clenched teeth.
The look on Riddle's face changed from one of annoyance to anger, before slipping back to one of feigned shock.
"What do you require of me, Alexander? I'm terribly busy."
Several students glanced at the two young wizards as the dialogue between them grew more heated, but many of them knew to stay clear.
"I want you to go to Dippet and the others and tell them that you were lying about Rubeus."
With a sigh and a roll of his eyes that said he had heard this before Riddle scoffed. "Look, Hagrid was your friend, so it's only natural that you wouldn't think him capable of such a horrible thing..."
Stepping dangerously close to Riddle, Alexander fixed his green eyes with those of the young Slytherin. "He isn't and you know it! And because of your lies he's been expelled and if it weren't for Professor Dumbledore, it could have been even worse."
Riddle smiled, and Alexander Sereptious felt the urge to strike him rising. He was horrible at controlling his temple, Minerva had always been around to keep him in check, but sadly the older McGonagall girl had graduated from Hogwarts last june. It had been well known that Alexander and Minerva had been an 'item' and several people were interested in seeing how the young Ravenclaw would react now that the Gryffindor girl wasn't around to swat his nose.
Riddle chuckled softly. "Alexander you weren't there. You don't know what I saw, or didn't see." Riddle said with the slightest of gleams in his eyes.
Pressing his wand to the elder boy's throat Alexander Sereptious growled at the Slytherin. He was at an equal height, with Tom, perhaps a few inches taller and he was quite an imposing figure, especially with his wand pressed against Riddle's adams apple.
"You listen to me Tom Marvolo Riddle, Lord Villiemore, or whatever the bloody 'ell it is ya friends are muttering now'adays. I don't know what you're up to, but I'll find out. I know ya aren't as squeaky clean as you appear to be...and other's around here know it to...you watch your step or I'll rip you to shreds you little sod."
Alexander didn't have time to see what Riddle was mouthing to him, or the face he was making, before Professor Dumbledore appeared.
"Boy's...everything alright?" He asked as Alexander stepped away from Tom.
"Everything's fine, Professor." Alexander said, putting a smile on his face. "Just asking Tommy to keep a few of his Slytherine's in line. Do me a favor and try and keep Lestrange from bothering anymore Ravenclaws, you're headboy afterall. They'll listen to you."
Riddle put on a small smile as well, the hatred Alexander had sure he was about to witness gone, for now. "I'll do what I can...if you'll both excuse me." And with that Tom Riddle continued on down the hall.
Dumbledore made his way past Alexander and stopped to fix the young Wizard with a searching glance. Dumbledore had been absence from Hogwarts as of late although, Alexander had no idea what he was doing.
"Alexander Sereptious...do try and keep your temper in check."
Dumbledore gave him a friendly pat on the arm and continued on down the hallway. Placing his wand back in its place within his robes Alexander sighed. He had no idea what he was doing. Minerva was gone, Rubeus expelled and Alexander's temper was more out of control than ever. A young Ravenclaw walked past and wished him luck on this weeks Quidditch game, in response to which Alexander nodded and walked on.
Quidditch was the last thing on his mind.
